PLAY FOR THE LOCAL WOMEN’S LEAGUE - THE EWBC
Entering its 30th year, the Eastern Women’s Baseball Conference (EWBC) is the longest running all-women’s baseball league in the United States. It is also the only all women’s baseball league operating in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The EWBC encourages DC Force players in the 18U and 16U age groups to join. There are no tryouts, and no limitations based on ability (other than requiring that players under 18 are able to play safely on a full-sized field with adult players). The EWBC’s mission is to ensure that our participants have the opportunity to play our national pastime in a positive, welcoming environment.
The EWBC has four teams this season – two teams based in Northern Virginia, the Flames and the Fury, and two teams based in the Baltimore area, the Blues and the Lemon Sticks. The EWBC typically has a 14-week season, beginning play in early May and concluding in late August. Games will be in McLean, VA and Anne Arundel County, MD.
The EWBC is seeking part-time and full-time players. If you are interested in joining a team, please contact ewbc.board@gmail.com.
