DC Force Competes at The NY Girls Baseball Regional Tournament
Congratulations to the DC Force teams and players that competed at the New York Girls Baseball Regional Tournament this past weekend!
Eve Payne-Tsoupros represented our 10U squad at the event with amazing catching and pitching, joining our friends at Philly Girls Baseball and earning the championship title in the 10U division!
12U’s combined Force/Philly team (or the “DC Flames”) fought hard on both days with their ever-infectious energy, tons of hits, and standout pitching. They earned 2nd place medals after a thrilling walk-off strikeout in the semifinals.
14U took home bronze after an incredible show of offensive and defensive prowess by all. With great focus on the field, 14U stayed determined to translate their hard work into great plays. Sporting sequined bows in their hair all weekend (including Coach Sid of course), they showed all how girls can really play the game.
16U was back in action as our group of players fought against teams with a wide variety of ages in the 17+ division. With stellar pitching and a rock-solid defense, 16U finished their weekend of battling on a high note with a strong team win in the consolation game. On top of that, our very own Addison Ruffing finished 1st place in the 16U division’s Home Run Derby!
GO DC FORCE!
