Our beginning

DC Girls Baseball was inspired by Baseball for All, a national organization that provides opportunities for girls to participate in baseball. In Spring 2014, a Baseball for All all-girls team entered a co-ed tournament in Anaheim, CA and won their age group. One DC girl was on that team and the seed was planted for an all-girls baseball team in the DC area.

In the spring of 2015, DC Girls Baseball brought a group of 7 committed players to Atlanta to play in a regional tournament organized by the Georgia Peaches. The experience helped foster our commitment to building a lasting program.

If you tell a girl she can’t play baseball what else will she think she can’t do?
— Justine Siegal, Founder of Baseball For All

We provide access to skills development and special training clinics, regular practices, scrimmages, and regional and national tournament play.

We encourage girls to take advantage of all of the aspects of our program that fit their needs. For example, if a girl is new to baseball she may want to participate in clinics or practices before deciding whether to join us at a tournament.

Our vision is that no girl will face a barrier to play. We believe that girls’ baseball gives girls a unique experience of confidence, community, and competition that they will carry with them.

How you can help.
